Lost the page my cd key was printed on. I was smart enough to copy the cd
key text to notepad and print, but dumb enough to loose the page the key was
printed on. At the time, my msn account wasn't activated, so no email with
the key in it. When I originally created the account, microsoft wanted money
I wasn't going to pay to use the account.

How do I retreive the key?

I am not aware of any way you can. MS does not maintain a public website
with the Product Keys for the CPP the way they do for TechBeta and MSDN.
Sorry. Your best bet may be to re-enroll when RC1 is released in a few
weeks.

The email was sent to the email account you used to register. Since this
had to be a Passport.net email account, I'm curious, how did you register
without a valid email account?

What am I missin'? Where did the CD key come from? Not the stork. So MSFT
emailed it to you and you printed it from where?

At the time, my msn account wasn't activated, so no email with
the key in it.

Well, where oh were did you copy the "key text" from? Msft does want money.
That I understand. I've heard it before and I believe it.

You can activate Vista CPP builds over the phone, so call the number and see
if they'll give you a key.

Whiz you're being circumspect maybe unintentionally about where you printed
the key from, but try this.

Either using MSN Search or the MSN Toolbar or Google Desktop search search
your PC for the term "vista product key."

Try calling them using the number at at bottom of
