After spending several hours trying to install adobe software I spoke with
adobe technical support who advised me that my problem was either faulty
disks or my cd/dvd driver needed updating.
I have returned the software for them to check, then I foolishly checked the
dell website for an updated driver. Having believed I found the correct
driver I installed it then restarted the computer as instructed. Since then I
have been unable to locate my CD/DVD dirive in either my computer or anywhere
else. I have lost several hours trying a multitude of things and am now at
the stage where I need help please.
My cd/dvd rom drive won't even eject it's tray when I push eject, it's like
it is completely dead. I have followed the instruction for removing the upper
and lower filters from the registry but this made no difference.
Please help, I am an MSc student who is falling way behind in my assignments
due to this problem.
