I moved, my original CD's in Storage. My HD crashed, got new one installed
and from original id on bottom of laptop was able to get winxp re-installed.
But. My CD would not read, or write.
So I played til I lost it. Error log in event viewer says I removed plug
and play device - CD, I cannot find a way to re-install cd. Machine knows
its there but ? driver or ?? is missing. Went to samsung web site and
downloaded bootdisk, UDF reader and firmware and none works. (Samsung 324B).
My original windows cd's still in storage 2-day drive away. Any otherway to
have machine find driver w/out original CD. Can I download something, or?

..... Thx for all. KIA&KN

Forgot to say, device manager cannot find cd drive, but when cd inserted it
runs then stops.

I tried to fix with this solution and several others that I found in other
posts. None of them worked, I ran the zip, then the exe and got no response
from laptop on reboot. Any other thoughts? (Also when I click on link to
microsoft I get bad page.)
