Help! Items from my start menu such as my calculator and
other things such as solitair and the game folder that
came with my computer have disapeared.

I did not delete these files and am the only one using
this computer. I do not know what happened to my
calculator and would like to know where i can download it
to put back onto my computer. I have searched for it, and
nothing has come up.

It disapeared about 1 month after i purchased my computer
with windows xp

Please help. Thank you

Look here for it;

C:\WINDOWS\system32,

then copy and paste it to this folder;

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories

If "C" is your drive letter that is?

hi there

open this path:

C:\WINDOWS\system32
and look for the file "calc" without the quote
this is the calculator utility. a program calculator.

after you have located the "calc"
right click on the start button, click "Open all users"
this will open the start menu all users.

then right click the "calc" and drag it to the windows you
just open with the "Open all users", then release the
button and click create shortcut here.

and thats it.

The path for the calculator is: C:\WINDOWS\system32\calc.exe. Is it in the
folder ? Or type calc.exe in Search-Files and Folders. If it's found via
either means, a shortcut or shortcuts can be created and placed where
desired.

As to the games. These are what came on my system... Hearts, Solitaire,
and Minesweeper (Winmine) should also be located in the Windows-system32
folder; Pinball (If you have it.) is in: "C:\Program Files\Windows
NT\Pinball\PINBALL.EXE". Again, if these are found in the locations named,
shortcuts can be created and placed where desired.

A new games folder can be recreated in Start by going to: C-Documents and
Settings-All Users-Start menu-Programs and creating a new one for the
shortcuts.

Hope this helps.
