Lost bookmark icons.

I'm curious about somthin'. Every couple days I lose the
icons for my favorite places. The links still work but the
graphics only last for a day or two. Its not a big deal,
but I'd like to learn why it happens so I can aid others.
Do you have to revisit and bookmark evey site to get 'em
back? How do you keep 'em? Is it because I wipe cookies
every few days? Let me know. Perhaps I can save a "pretty"
version of bookmarks on a floppy, but I don't know how.
