Lost attachment in tasks in bcm

Hi,

My professional email account was transferred from pop to exchange server
lately.

Connecting BCM again was not an issue but I got a huge problem :
All tasks linked to my BCM contacts have been transformed into "professional
activities", in a "note" like format, and therefore all tasks attachments
have disappeared from these "note" entries.

Most valuable documents were attached to my tasks, so I'd really like to get
it back.
Any idea to help me ?

Hi Gael,

What version of BCM are you using?
Did you try creating a new Outlook profile, running BCM startup wizard and
connecting to this database?

What happened is that the tasks and attachments were in your Outlook
PST file. When you changed to Exchange, you got a new PST, and those
items are not in the new one. So, when you go to open one from the BCM
Contact, BCM can't find it, and instead opens the "note" type form
with the data about that Task in the BCM database.

At least that's my best guess.

To get the data back you'll need to switch back to the original PST,
find those tasks,save them and the attachments to disk. Switch back to
the Exchange PST, and imprt the files back in, or attach the Contact
history to the file.
