HELP, Please. I goofed and unchecked this box which I
have never done before as long as I have used a computer.
For whatever reason I did it after I downloaded the
Windows XP Service Pack 2 and noticed the new look of this
message which pops up when you download files from the
internet.
Anyway I want it back! I want and need the choices of
Open or Save because I always want to choose what file on
my C drive to save the downloads to on my computer which
can always differ.
Is there a simple and easy way to do this? (I am not very
technical and do not want to risk making anything worse)So
I need step by step instructions.
I thought reloading my Service Pack 2 would reset this
like a "default" but did not.
I have searched microsoft articles but they reference
earlier versions of Internet Explorer and I have 6.0 I
beleive with all the numbers behind it which designate I
have downloaded the service pack 2.
THANKS to whomever can help

1.. Open the Control Panel Folder Options applet.
2.. Select the File Types tab.
3.. Scroll down to the extension type that you want to reset.
4.. Select the extension type, then click Advanced.
5.. Check the "Confirm open after download" check box, then click OK.

Thanks, I went there but noted the Zip file type which is
what I download already had a checkmark, but had heard of
unchecking and then rechecking in general for other things
on other Newsgroup community posts so I did that and then
it worked.
