lost all my passwords

my pc has stopped displaying my passwords when i go to sites. i havent kept copies. Is there a place on my hard drive where xp remembers all my passwords, if so where can i find it. I have tried to do a system restore and the it says it was not possible to restore to a previous time. HELP.

Your passwords are your responsibility - a system restore would do you no
good in this case - as your passwords are not stored in a "system file".
 
i lost $100 last week ....can the goverment please refund?

If you deleted Internet Explorer's "cookies" files, that would explain
why your passwords are not available when visiting a particular
website. You'll have to reenter the password when prompted to
do so. If you forgot the password, then look for support help on
that particular web page.
