Igot back in town and found 2500 messages in my in-box.
Trying to send an urgent e-mail, I got an error message
saying Outlook had performed an error. after hitting
send/receive it went out but now I had 3600 messages in my
in box. Trying to send another urgent e-mail, the same
thing happened except that as the e-mails were down
loading , I got an error message that all my memory was
full. So, I closed everthing and rebooted. When the
machine came back it was at low resolution and Outlook was
not to be found, not even on the list of programs. When I
did find it, using the search feature on the start menue,
and opened it, all that was there was the empty shell like
when it comes from the factory. I guess it was a
different copy. Can anyone help me find my stuff?

Hi RK,

From your description, it sounds like you came back up in Safe Mode
immediately after rebooting. If this is the case, you shoudl try rebooting
again, to see if your machine will come up normally. If Outlooke ver comes
up with a "factory fresh" look and feel it could be the case that your
Windows profile was corrupted, and you are now running in a new one, or
that your Outlook settings were lost, and you are running in a new profile.

All is not lost, Outlook stores all of your e-mail in one file. If you
search your PC, something you said you were familiar with, for *.pst you
should find at least one Outlook data file. If not, try logging in as the
admin, and doing the same search. If still no results, while logged in as
the admin, make sure that you are set to view all file, file extensions,
and system files by clicking Tool -> Folder Options -> View Tab.

Once you find your file, you can then open it in Outlook, and setup a new
Outlook profile by using the article below.
