Lost All media (Music) files

All of a sudden all of our music files in Media Player
(Library) have disappeared. There appear to be some
still in My Music.
Does anyone have any idea of what has happened?
I have tried a system restore but to no avail.
All suggestions gratefully appreciated.

You may have a worm. I know there is one that tends to destroy media files.
Update your anti-virus software and then run a deep scan of your entire system.
