.... I recently lost my c: drive - it crashed...
I backed up the new hard drive with my Retrospect
duplicate back up. Most everything worked fine. Only a
few programs did not function properly. Of the few that
don't work properly, I wish to remove and reinstall.
However, there is one big problem...
.... all the program normally listed on the add remove list
are gone. The only add remove programs are those that
were place on the new hard drive after the new OS was
created so that retrospect could be used to restore the
data/programs.
The OS was a Windows 98 ugraded to Win XP OS.
How can I find the Add Remove programs that use to be on
the original drive? Are they located on my backup? If so,
can they be place (or relocated). Seems the registry is
fine with the exception of only a few programs... they
will not operate. How do I uninstall those few programs
safely without them listed in the add remove program (btw,
they do not offer a uninstall option)?
