Lost Administrative password for XP Pro

I was trying to incorporate my wife's laptop into our home
workgroup [MSHOME], changing from her business VPN. I
changed it, was welcomed into the workgroup, and had to
reboot. On reboot, the typical login appeared, but
recognizes non of the passwords used before. Her full
computer name was AMCGUIRE, and the short name was set to
Anna, with the workgroup MSHOME. Since it is Pro, I can't
get logged in, even in safe mode. Any suggestions?
