lost admin password

I was attempting to network three computers together and two of them went fine. I got to the third and typed in the workgroup name and then the computer asked if I wanted to restart for the change to take place and I said yes. However it restarted with the windows xp pro screen asking me to click ctrl-alt-del then it takes you to the userid and password well you guessed it the userid was there and correct however it does not accept the password. It is the correct password and the proper case. I have looked for solutions and they don't understand that I cannot get to the start menu or anything else. Please provide any info on how to fix and log in. my email is (e-mail address removed)
