Lost address book+

I just upgraded to XP and opted for the "new" install vs. the upgrade. I can find all of my programs but I can not run any of them. Add to that I do not have access to my old address book. Have I lost the address book or is there a way to recover it & the messages?

Your old programs won't work because you have a new registry where
application details reside.
You'll need to reinstall the programs.

Your address book is gone because you will have lost the old profile that
the address book was attached to.
Depending on whether the drive was formatted as part of the XP install you
may be able to find the address book by doing a search for *.wab
