Hey again I’m here as a new user of vista and I’m going trough a bunch of
problems. As for now one day I ran the diskeeper and some how I lost 45 GB of
hard disk space for no real reason. After that I ran it again but it didn’t
help, I don’t know if it has to do with the diskeeper or maybe some other
type of problem with the computer applications. So any help you can give me
I’ll be thankful for.

Are you aware of System Restore Points and Shadow Copies? They can be
deleted as part of a disk cleanup (go to the "more options" tab). Of
course, you want to feel confident that you don't need the Restore Points
and Shadow Copies before deleting them.

yeah it helped, but I'm still missing 30 GB; but thanks for your help. if you
have any more advice please tell me.

Try SequoiaView or WinDirStat which both provide graphic maps of files.
These will show you quickly how the space is being used. Also, Disk Cleanup
Doesn't always fully empty the temp directories. Something like CCleaner
does a thorough job. These are all freeware and can be downloaded from the
major sites, such as majorgeeks, tucows, etc. Just do a Google search for
links.

I tried WinDirStat and it said 45 Gb unknown so it doesn't really help....I
have CCleaner but it also doesn't help. So I don't know what to do...thanks
alot...

Although it doesn't identify the 45 gigs does it say what folder(s) it is
in?

Thanks, but it was already like that when I went to the service, so I don't
know what to do. Thanks for your time...

You never said (or I may have missed it) if you tried SequoiaView.
