LOSSING MAPPED DRIVE

I'm running a Win 2K Pro client connected to a Win 2k
Server. Everything works fine except when you go in My
Computer the mapped drive gets a red X thru it. If you
double click on it, it opens up. However I'm running a
program that scans a folder on that drive and when it has
the red X thru it the program can't access the drive until
somebody opens it. It's seems to time out or something.
 
Hi Frank.

Run net config server on that computer to see what it reports as far as idle session
time. It probably shows 15 minutes. Try running " net config server
/autodisconnect:-1 " to see if that helps. --- Steve
