I'm doing a fresh install of XP Home on a Gateway Profile
2 all-in-one machine. It has 128Mb RAM and a 500MHz
Celeron. The install runs fine untill there are 33
minutes left on the "estimated time remaining" counter,
and it says it's installing devices. The screen (LCD
monitor) suddenly goes blank and never returns. I've
tried formatting the partition NTFS and FAT to the same
results. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm
very much stuck.

Thanks,

Paul

Your machine may not be compatible with Windows XP, I would look into that
first. Second, make sure that you have the latest BIOS revision for the
machine and that its not overclocked. Lastly, try another video card if you
have one and make sure that youre giving it enough time to install devices,
its not unusual for the screen to stay blank for 5 mins or so.
