Loss of Power Options

I reconfigured my power options and now i have apparently "uninstalled" the
battery on my laptop, and also i no longer have the ability to alter the
power options, i keep being instructed to use the Toshiba power settings
program, which is completely useless and not the same as XP power options!
please help!

Try using System Restore to take you back to a time prior to when this
began. Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
