When I had Win98 I could go to a newsgroup, choose a large
number of files to download, and go away. Win98 would
proceed to download until finished- some times several
hours, sometimes all night while I slept. XP will not do
that. After downloading for a time, a message comes up
that says it has aborted the process because it is out of
memory. I have far more than I did in Win98, I have even
tried running a program that keeps freeing memory.
I down load a great many old radio programs as a hobby so
XP won't do one of the main reasons I hasve a computer.
What could be causing this? Can I do anythiong about
it. Plealse help.
