Please help me, I get on-line and get shutdown by FAT or LASHELL, whatever
that is. It then I get a warning message from NT Security and it tells me my
computer is going to shut down in 59 seconds. Could someone please steer me
in the right direction? I have a Compaq Presario and use Windows XP
Professional. My internet connection is with a dial-up ISP is earthlink. I
would just like to be able to stay on the internet for more than 2 minutes.

Open a command prompt:
type:
shutdown -a
this stops your comp from shutting down while you
do a virus scan, also you should scan for spyware.
Unplugging your modem would be a good idea in case you
have a malware dialer program as well.

You can either go out and by an anti-virus program, or you could try one of
the online virus scans:

I would highly recommend that you get a program from one of the above firms
and install and use it on your system.

Also, if you don't have a firewall (hardware or software), you really need
to get one of those, too. See http://www.zonelabs.com - for ZoneAlarm (the
free version is fine) if you are not using XP's built-in one at least.
