Loss of internet connection

After time of non-use I can no longer access the internet
as the computer cannot find or access the LAN line. Once
I restart the computer there isn't a problem until the
computer sits idle for awhile. Is this an XP issue?
 
This may happen if the Power saving feature is enabled for the Network
interface card. Disable that.

1. Right click My Computer, select properties
2: Click the Hardware Tab and press Device Manager button
3: Expand the Network Adapters section
4: Double click on the Network adapter listed
5: Select the Power Management Tab and un-check the "allow the computer to
turn off the device to Save Power
