Steve

I'm hoping someone out there can help. While surfing the
web I accendentally allowed a search site to replace my
home page and become the start up page when I use IE.
Not only did it change my home page it also altered my
tools menu and removed the "General" Tab. The tab that
allows you to set your home page and view or delete temp
files and clear the history.

Does anyone know how to restore that tab on the tools
menu without having to actually reinstall the entire
application.

Please help!!

There could be more than one "GeneralTab" value.
Try these keys first and then search for GeneralTab (no space)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel

Remove "GeneralTab" if present.
