I am trying to resolve an odd issue after installing the
SP-3 update patch on Outlook 2000. After the application
of this patch, objects embedded in Tasks can no longer be
edited or opened. Yet the same objects can be embedded,
opened, and edited in Calendar and email objects.
In my case I have an Excel (Office 2000) worksheet in a
Task item. To test this error I copied the Task Item (in
a PST) to a 2nd machine running Office 2000 where Outlook
was on SR-1. Everything worked fine. After I patched
that 2nd machine, it exhibited the same behavior.
Is there a security setting that can be changed (Macros
are set to Medium) or another work around (other than
uninstalling the patch?)!!
