Lars

I have multiple accounts set up, but only one with administrator rights. The
administrator account has become corrupt. I did have a virus,
W32/Nachi!ftpd, but it is gone now. When I log in I get a blue screen and
nothing else. The other accounts continue to work. I tried reloading XP and
that did not work.

Can you give me any suggestions on how to resolve? Oh yes I tried creating
new accounts and they get a desktop, but no task bar and nothing on desk
top, except the wallpaper.

Also, for some reason now I get a little window opening titled Project1 and
statement that says it's time, with an ok button. Is this from the virus?

Greetings, Please post back here or email me with information on this
working or not.

There is a very good chance you still have part of the virus on your system.

Reboot Windows XP into Safe Mode

"Explorer %SYSTEM%\Explorer.exe"
3) Reboot your PC as normal.

If that doesnt work...

1) Open My Computer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32. Search in the
System32 directory for "explore.exe" or "explorer.exe" If the file exists

3) Reboot your PC.

NOTE: Do NOT delete "explorer.exe" from your C:\Windows directory!

You may try the following if you don't boot into Safe Mode.

2) Goto the Applications Tab
3) Click New Task...
4) Type "C:\Windows\explorer.exe", hit Enter
5) Open My Computer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32. Search in the

delete it.

NOTE: Do NOT delete "explorer.exe" from your C:\Windows directory!

Also try a virus scan to clean things up.
1) Open Internet Explorer
2) Goto http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and scan your either system for
virus.
3) Reboot your PC and see if you now have a desktop.

If that doesnt work goto...
Line 195 "Restore Desktop Icons and Taskbar"

Run the VBS script and then reboot your PC.

try pressing CTRL ALT DEL and view processes running, shut down any with the
following names:

if there was one or more of the above programs running and you stopped it
