I use IE with Windows XP. I also use yahoo companion bar.
I never had problems with companion before. Now evertime I
turn my computer off and then go online again, companion
is
gone and I have to reinstall it. Yahoo keeps telling me to
enable all 3rd party cookies; and they are enabled. I also
have exe. files related to a film reader that are missing
and I also have to re-install them everytime I turn the
computer off and on. I have scanned for viruses and have
everything upgraded for protection. Also, IE is the
slowest
browser I have ever used in my entire life. Sometimes it
just stalls and does nothing! Is there anything I should
have checked off in Int. Options I'm not aware of? Thanks.

Sounds like spyware, get ad aware,FREE from
www.download.com type in ad aware in the search, then
get spybot search and destroy(same way),then get
hijackthis(same way).Do the ad aware first,be sure to
check for updates before you run it.

Try the avant browser, get it FREE from
www.download.com type in avant in search and
download it,I find it loads things faster than IE 6.0,but
use's some features of IE,looks like it with smaller
buttons, bigger screen size,But first go to
tools,,,internet options,,,settings,,,view
objects,,,right click on all and delete them one at a time
(you have a corrupt file in here somewhere and need to
load it again),then go to add/remove programs in the
control panel,,,delete yahoo companion,,,,restart your
computer,,,then go to Yahoo and reload it.
If you load that Avant browser Yahoo works very well with
it.
