I'm working on an network set up by another individual,
who is no longer with the business. They have a Windows
2000 Server with sp3, two Windows 2000 Pro machines with
sp3, and one W98 upgraded to 2000 with sp3. The two
machines that started with 2000 are constantly losing
their drive mappings and network printer. This happens
at random. They get red x's on the drives. Sometimes
they can go right in, sometimes it takes three to twenty
tries before they can access the drives. The upgraded
machine has never had this issue. The HDD on the server
was set up with a 4gb system partition that is down to
200mb left. The router and cabling have been switched
out to test. Net use commands and scripting have been
tried, and the autodisconnect settings have been maxed.
The hdd status on the server concerns me, but is there
anything else I might try? Thanks, Travis
