losing internet connection

Hi RIcky,

Looks like the problem is happening again. I came home today and I had
lost the connection. The "allow the computer to shut off this device to save
power" was not checked as you suggested. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Two possibilities that I can think of. In the setup of my modem I can choose
Always On or On Demand. Yours might have a similiar setting. also some ISP's
will disconnect you if your connection is idle for a certain length of time.

RIcky,

My ISP (comcast) said that they never disconnect the internet. So,
something else is going on. The modem is fine. Any new ideas?
