Losing internet connection

Hopefully someone can help me. I am running Windows XP
HE with IE6 keep it updated, and regularly run scan disk,
defrag and virus scans, with no problems,and have McAfee
Virus Scan V6. I have also contacted my ISP and they have
tried numerous things and can find no fault. The problem
is when I open the internet or email, then leave it open
and come back to it later 15 min or so, and click on a
web it comes up "Page cannot be displayed" If I try to
open email the same goes but it says it cannot find the
server. I have to shutdown my computor and start up
again and then every thing works fine. Can someone help
me as to why its doing this. I have lots of space on my
computor and its not old (1 year 2 mths). Any help would
be appreciated.
