About once a day I lose my internet connection. Doing an 'arp -d *' from
the run line fixes the problem. So it appears that the Address Resolution
Protocol (ARP) cache is somehow getting corrupted? How can I get the
machine so it doesn't keep dropping my internet connection?
Background Information:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
System: Windows XP Pro running Zone Alarm Pro, IIS 5.0, MS SQL Server 2000
(all for development and learning only; this isn't a professional server).
Running the repair option in Control Panel > Network and Internet
Connections > Network Connections > Right Click on Local Area Connection
fixes the problem. According to MS KB article 289256, this option runs
several commands that restore the connection. Here's the article incase
you're interested.

Through simple trial and error I found that the second step was the one
that restored the connection.
