I keep on losing DNS, if I leave the server for few hours with no activity and then try to log on from a client computer. Clint computer will not find the domain. There was an error what affected RUNDLL file and this file can not be deleted or quarantine by Norton virus cleaning. How do I fix that file if that's what the error is, please help
Thanks.

NOt sure what you mean by '"losing DNS"...

I've seen errors with not being able to "find the domain" by admins using
their ISP's DNS address in their DCs and clients. That can cause numerous
issues. Ensure that you are only using your internal DNS. I couldn't make
out in your post whether this is true or not.

As for a virus, try to identifiy the virus running, check for it in Task
manager and try to kill it. If you can't, I would suggest using the kill.exe
file in the resource kit. Or if you don't have that, you can restart in safe
mode and kill it and run a scan to eradicate it. Did Norton tell you what
virus it is?

Sounds like Nortan AV is screwing up another system -- I have lost
more machines to it (many) than to virus or trojans (zero.)

RunDLL is an important file on your system so it must be available
and restored or repaired if it has been damaged or compromised by
either malware or Norton.

We have not idea what "losing DNS" means. Except perhaps some
general inability to resolve names but...from where? using what DNS
server? for what target?

Do you by any chance have the client configured with BOTH internal
and external DNS servers? When that works at all, it gives unreliable
results.
