My presentation had speaker notes. I used Nero to copy it to a CD-R.
The speaker notes disapeared from my presentation.
I had to redo them again. This time I made a backup copy.
I had the same results when I tried to copy them to a CD-R.

Are they kept in a different file?

Thanks

No the notes are saved in the presentation. Are you opening the cd on another
computer?

Maybe this powerpoint is set up to open files without showing the notes
(Tools > Options>View>Default View)

When the notes are missing try View > Normal If it says "restore panes"
click it!

Hi John
Actually I burned the cd and then tried it right away on the same computer.
I lost all of my notes on the presentation saved to the hard drive also.
This has happend 3 times. Maybe it is a Nero issue, but I have had no
problems
otherwise.

Thanks
Karen

OK Karen,

Some ideas

1. Are you using a version of powerpoint 2000 or before? If so update to
latest service pack (in fact do this anyway even if you have XP / 2003)
2. In tools >options> save- uncheck the box "enable fast saves"
3. When you save move to the slide view (not notes page) before saving

Did that answer the question / help?

What version of PowerPoint are you using? There was a bug in the first release of
PowerPoint 97 that could cause you to lose your notes.

The SR1 update is supposed to have fixed it but that didn't work for everyone, as
I recall.

The surefire fix was never to save the presentation while in Notes view. Always
return to Slide view before saving.

I don't recall ever having heard of this problem in later versions, so if you have
PPT 2000 or beyond, go back up to the beginning of this message and stop reading
right there.

This is very bizarre. Which version of PPT, and which version of Nero? What
steps are you using in Nero?
