I just installed a new game and the installation went well. When starting the new game starts and initial startup video plays (the initial music is somewhat choppy) but then the screen goes black. I can see a large black square almost the full size of the screen with the mouse pointer and music playing which later gets choppy. I just upgaded my video and audio drivers with the help from Dell support. I disabled my virus/firewall to see if that was the problem but did not help. My OS is Windows XP. Can some help me with this problem?

Hi John,

It's important to meet these minimum requirements for LoE:

a.. Processor: Pentium® III 1Ghz
a.. RAM: 256 MB
a.. Video Card: Direct3D compliant video card with 32MB RAM and hardware T&L (i.e. Nvidia GeForce 2)
a.. Sound Card: DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
a.. Modem: 28.8k + Internet connection
a.. CD-ROM: 4X speed CD-ROM
a.. Hard Drive Space: 400MB
If your system meets the requirements, make sure that your chipset
and monitor drivers are also up to date. I hope this helps! :-)
