Hey guys
can anyone help me out.. i have the annoying toolbar by
lop.com, cant delete it. I've tried buying a spyware
removal program.. finds almost 1000 parasites(on
registry . programs, cookies, etc) but does nothing to
help me remove the toolbar.
My seocnd question concerns how to reset my IE settings.
because the ad remove program (SpyHunter) suggests it and
i thaught maybe it would help

PLEASE anyone who can help me at all email me at

Hi Mike -

Better un-install SpyHunter first.
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

SpyHunter - enigmasoftwaregroup.com / spywareremove.com
aggressive, deceptive advertising (1, 2, 3, 4, 5); transmits Windows Product
ID (1); has exploited name "spybot" [A: 6-26-04 / U: 6-26-04]

http://antivirus.about.com/b/a/083597.htm (ironically, this domain
"about.com", drops spyware cookies by the bakers dozen. <bg> So they
shouldn't "talk")

Mike -

In the excitement of your "Anti-Spyware" program "detecting 1000 parasites",
I almost forgot, although you did get an answer for this already. But:

http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/lop.html

I'm fairly sure that ToolbarCop authored by Ramesh MS-MVP will serve to
remove it. Version 2.6 has just been released which makes Registry back-ups
as well; nice feature. It's a small program and doesn't even need be
"installed" in the conventional sense of the word.

PS - shouldn't use a valid e-mail in the newsgroups, gets lots of Spam and
invite the receipt of Virus laden e-mail messages too.

Goto lop.com and look down the bottom in the small text
somewhere. They provide an uninstalltion utility.
