loosing connection

I am plagued with too frequent breaking of my internet connections with
no
apparent rhyme or reason. Is there someway to make a more lasting
connection. I am running windows xp

It's either cable broadband or dsl broadband, not both... Contact your
Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Hi,
your network card may be get loose from it's slot and need a reseated in the
slot.
Or your modem have it's good day, the driver gone bad or the timeout set to
short time, what change between time which make things slow or break the
connections.
Your cables may be worn out and need be changed,or it's time for a new modem
from your ISP.
