Loosing changes made to ppt file (editing with 2007)

When I open a ppt file (created in 97-2003 verson) in 2007 and make changes,
I save it as the original ppt file and close. When I reopen the document,
the changes are not there. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there
something hidden that needs to be changed?

What kind of changes are you making?

Any chance you're making changes to a different file? I mean, making the
changes to a file, saving it, and then opening a different file (but with the
same name)?

You're not working on a file you've opened directly from your email, are you?

Formatting and text changes. Any type of change is lost. This is a single
file saved in a folder. It's the same file that is opened each time. We've
also tried it on different computers and get the same result. Frustrating!

What if, as a test, you do a Save As and give it a different name.

Also, again as a test, try saving the file as a 2007-format file instead of
a 97-2003 format file. I'd give it a new name here, too, while testing.

You may also want to go to Office Button | PPT Options | Resources and run
the diagnostics.

I assume you've checked for viruses and malware, right? What you're
experiencing is definitely not common behavior.
