I have a Compaq DL580 Generation 3 with a loopback adapter
installed, this server has a BroadCom 1 gig network
adapter. This server works fine, here is the trouble. I
have a DL580 Generation 1 and when I install a loopback
adapter and reboot the server to takes 15 to 20 min. to
logon on to the domain. I have changed the binding order
and also added a BroadCom 1 gig nic to this machine with
no luck. Compaq said it is OS issue. Called Microsoft
and have tried what they suggested with the binding order
and different nic, they are leaning toward hardware issue.
Has anyone else seen this. One more thing the loopback
worked at one time then it started the slow logon, so I
rebuilt the machine.
