Loop of crashes on reboot after installing network drives

I installed two network drives on my brand new Dell machine w/XP Professional. Now when I reboot, it comes up to the login screen, then spontaniously reboots in a never-ending cycle, until I press F5 and reboot in safe mode with networking. I disconnected the drives, and it works fine. What can be so wrong to crash this supposedly great OS?

The drivers for the network drives are most likely the cause of your
problems. Look to the hardware manufacturer for updated drivers, and
preferably WHQL certified drivers.

Thanks for the info. I am unable to add any software to the server that has the network drives. Do I install the driver on there, or my PC. Also, how do I do it? Thank you!

An update. I was able to get it to work by deleting one of my gateways. The way we're set up, we have one gateway to the server, and one to our DSL router. If the router's gateway is in there, it will crash. Once I get booted up, I have to change the last field of the gateway back and forth depending on what I want to do. The other computers work right. When I put the metric on the server to automatic, and the gateway to 2, the internet wouldn't work
I sure would like to get it to work right
Thank you
John

You shouldn't have multiple gateways. What exactly is your config? a route
print, ipconfig, and description of your topology would help out.
