Hi All

I have a master sheet of contacts (people) which also contains e-mail
hyperlinks

Ihave another sheet which pulls (VLOOKUP) info from other sheets, the
e-mail hyperlink being one of them.

My problem is, since it is a vlookup, it's no longer a hyperlink

Is there any way to fix this and make it active?

Thanks for your help

Thanks Peo

This now brings it over as a hyperlink.

But now it says "Cannot open the specified file".

It won't open MS Outlook.

Any ideas?

Again, Thanks very much for your help.

One way:

=HYPERLINK(VLOOKUP(lookupvalue,rng,2,FALSE))

Depending on your data arrangement, you can also add a term for the
hyperlink's "friendly name" - see XL Help.

Check out if Excel now what your mail program is Tom

Tools>Internet Options in Explorer
See the Programs Tab

Works for me, the [mailto:] should take care of opening the mail program
