Lookup contact entry directly from birthday

Sorry, I know this is basic, but I have not found any answer to this:

How can I open a contact entry directly from a birthday event in my
calender in OL 2007 ?

I tried right click on the birthday and also drag'n drop ... I didn't
succeed.
Any ideas would be sincerely appreciated.Thanks.

Open the item - not the single occurence but the serie. Then double click on
the linked contact.

Hi, thanks Michael.
I already tried that. I click on the item. A pop up window appears
asking me - with a radio button - if I want to open the "this
occurence" or "the series". I choose "series". But then ? In the new
window, I have the areas "actions","show","options" and "proofing"
under the "recurring event" tab. I cannot find what you are referring
to. I'm sorry for bothering you, but could you be more precise as to
your last instruction ("double cklic on the linked contact") ?

If you don't see the contacts field in the lower left corner, click
Tools/Options/Contact Options/Show contact links in all formulars (or
something similiar).

Mi Michael,
That did the job! thanks sooooo much for your help!

In fact, I had done a search in the OL help, but with "event" and
"contact" as keywords, I didn't find anything specific and it is hard
to find other keywords for that problem...
