We have several users using Windows95 and 98 to run the Microsoft Remote
Desktop Client to connect to a Win2K terminal server. Several of them are
unable to use their number pads, as their numlock key will not work. I have
tried several things, including forcing numlocks on though Terminal Server
registry settings. Even after doing this, there are still a few users who
loose their numlock in the middle of their session. Per MS Kbase article
Q258070 updating user.exe should solve this problem. Per this article:
The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or
later:
Date Time Version Size File name Platform
----------------------------------------------------------------
03/23/00 00:22 4.10.2225 549,696 User.exe Windows 98
Second Edition
04/07/00 11:06 4.00.953 462,560 User.exe Windows 95
04/07/00 08:37 4.10.0.2000 549,632 User.exe Windows 98
If anyone can point me to a download for the most recent (or acceptable
versions of) Windows95 and Windows98 versions of user.exe it would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks
