Greets,

I'm looking for a program that will allow me, in Microsoft's Windows
Explorer, to have a file selected and view its contents either in a frame
added to Windows Explorer or a floating window. Then, when I use my arrow
key and go to the next file, that file's contents is displayed in the
frame/window. It should work with many, if not all, file types.

Any such thing?

Thanks!

TrackerV3 does it: it's not Microsoft's Windows Explorer, but can give you
immediately the contents of the selected file, and works also for the
preview of picture, audio, video, html, mht, php, font files.
In addition it gives you a lot of useful information about the files and a
good search function.
What also I like is that it doesn't touch the registry.
It's free for personal home use and no-profit organizations.

Sounds like just what I have been looking for.... BUT:

"A required file, GDIPLUS.DLL, was not found."

Anybody else run into this?

The author advises about it in this page:
http://www.trackerv3.com/download.htm

For Windows 2000, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 98,
and only if TrackerV3 does not run at all because GdiPlus.dll is not present
on your system, you can download the file from this site:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FamilyID=BFC0B436-9015-43E2-81A3-54938B6F4614

Installation instructions: run the self-extracting executable file
gdiplus_dnld.exe, which you have downloaded from the above site. When
prompted for an unzip folder, click the "Browse..." button and browse to the
directory of TrackerV3.exe (probably C:\Program Files\TrackerV3\), then
click the "Unzip" button and you are done. (Do not copy GdiPlus.dll into the
system directory.)
