Looking for virtual keyboard that uses mouse to type

....until I receive my mail-order replacement keyboard - am using a
shareware prog called my-t-touch for the time being, but it's very
annoying to use unless paid for. Any assistance much appreciated.

You could try the virtual keyboards of Milosoft and Tavultesoft:

The first is freeware, the latter just free for personal use. If you have
to input a lot of special characters you may also try BabelMap, which has
a buffer you can temporarily fill and copy/paste to your apps:

If you are using WindowsXP, it has an on-screen keyboard.
Start>Accessories>Accesibility. Don't remember if older Windows have
this.

A virtual keyboard should pop up ;)
 
If you are using WindowsXP, it has an on-screen keyboard.
Start>Accessories>Accesibility. Don't remember if older Windows have
this.

Which version of Windows? Windows 2000 and XP have one built-in...
