Looking for laptop advice?

This is my first time buying a laptop, im looking for something that i can run games on aswell as being able to hook it up to my for watching videos. I often have quite alot of applications open at the once so im looking for something that is reasonably fast.

I read the guide at the top of the page but when looking at laptops alot of the details on like hard drives and stuff aren't mentioned in product specs so if anyone could reccomend a laptop or any advice really would be helpful. Thanks.

I'm sort of partial to DELL myself and if you go to their site you can see a list of every component that goes into one or choose a particular one of several offered for that particular model.

I'd go with a dual core at the least.

I've heard bad things from other people about dell laptops. So id be very hesitant over buying one. I'm willing to spend up to £1000, just realised i missed that from the initial post.
