7-zip

sourceforge-hosted freeware - covers almost every archive type there is, and
will develop over time. replaced powerarchiver on my systems months ago.

I tried half a dozen zip programs, and finally found 7-Zip. It's

Powerarchiver was good, but I'm a happy defector to IZArc.

ZipGenius is nice, too, but LZArc has does even more packer formats.

But to be honest, for .zip I use WinImp, because it starts much faster
and does all I need. ;-)
