[Mark wrote]Now here's the thing. They claim unlimited space, unlimited
attachments, and no ads.
It's pretty fast and has no advertisement. Address book could not be
imported When a big file was emailed to self address there and it says
there is
976.56 GBs e-mail storage left.
quoted From the YGP forum
YGP was created without limits in mind. There are some restrictions; for
example, you cannot receive email into your YGP mailbox and have it
automatically forwarded to another account somewhere else. That one makes
sense. Then, you cannot collect your YGP email via POP3 (Outlook etc.,)
'cause we want you to visit our webmail service. Otherwise, the values that
are used to 'limit' storage, etc., are 'expandable' values; so for example,
when you get to 10,000 folders, the system will authorize a further 10,000
folders. Storage is 999GB, but again, that is expandable by a further 999GB
We are about to launch a prepaid global dialup service, which will be
optional, available in about 100 countries.
Our owner(s) are investors who are able to support this business as a
FreeMail service, we we think we can bring in some extra revenue with the
dialup.
You've Got Post Limited is to offer an affordable global Internet access
which will serve around 100 countries!
We want to continue to offer FreeMail with no ads, and no limits so the guys
in the head-office have come up with the idea of prepaid dialup, which if
just a few of the YGP users take up, will keep our lights on.
I (YGP Administrator)can confirm that we will never charge for the webmail
(we call it FreeMail). Our big cheeze thinks that we can generate all the
cash we need, by offering a prepaid dialup to the users who wish to
participate.
This is a Canadian company,
I can't quite figure out their 'prepaid dialup' concept other than it is
like the service that AOL has....numbers available everywhere....
But it looks like as long as access to Internet web site is available then
e-mail is available.
This is an alternative when one does not have a server and on the road then
at any public internet service this web mail would be available....or its a
source for 'reply address' to continue on the resistance against 'spam etc.
e-mail'.
