Manuel Otto

Hi,

I have been looking on and off for a long time for a simple and small
program that can convert my Netscape/Mozilla/K-Meleon bookmarks file
to something more readable.

Like something with a javascript menustructure (maybe like old win95
Windows Explorer look), or, something which could convert my bookmarks
to look like this:

http://www.red3d.com/cwr/links.html

would do too.

(Or anything else which makes it more readable when I need to open my
bookmarks on an other location with a different browser).

Any help will do.

Curious to see if there's any truely free and tiny software for this
purpose.

Really nobody knows of any programs which fits my description...???

Hi Susan,

thank you for your reaction!

I've been following your links, and tried every program which could be
doing what I want, but none of them are what I ment: a program to
export a Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox/K-Meleon bookmarksfile to a html
file with some kind of menustructure.

By the way: quite a few programs listed at

http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/acf/P_INTERNET.php#4.90Bookmarks-Favorites

wanted to connect to the Internet during installation, or at first
start, there's maybe some spyware listed too?

Anyway, didn't find, thanks again for your reaction!

Sorry you had no luck. You might try an ACF newgroup search if you
haven't already.

ACF participants are usually quick to point out spyware - and the apps
on those pages were all posted here first. Maybe phoning home for
updates. . .

YW :)

Thank you for your effort! I tried this search:

http://groups.google.com/groups?num...ookmarks"+group:alt.comp.freeware&btnG=Search

but nothing really, some time ago I allready looked everywhere in
http://www.pricelessware.org/ , nothing either.

Well, I can live without such a program, but it just would be nice and
practical for me to have, but it's not that important.

Maybe, but I like it when a program tells me before it's going to do
so.

'YW'??? Which means? (I'm just a simple dutchman, don't understand all
abbreviations)

Have a nice day, Manuel

Thank you so much!!!

(I had ran across that site before, but I didn't know what the English
word 'acronym' ment...)

Don't need it it that often often (lnow most often used
abbreviations), but have it know immidiatly bookmarked.

Thanks again! Very usefull,
Manuel

or, if you used the Dialog newsreader, you could see the meaning of an
acronym simply hovering the mouse over it :-)

Nice feature, but I use Agent newsreader = :-)

Hi Maria - Just FWIW - in OE if you've got WordWeb installed and in your
Tray (where I normally keep it), then just highlight the acronym, click
WordWeb, then click "Look on Web" which will usually find it immediately -
not quite as convenient, but a useful alternative for OE users. :)
