I have a file and print server with about 1TB of data
presented to 1000 Windows 95 workstations as a single
mapped drive. To minimize restore time in the event of
disk failure I would like to break the data into 100GB
volumes, but I need to present this to the client
workstations as though nothing has changed. It looks like
DFS would do the trick, but rolling out and
troubleshooting the DFS client on the workstations sounds
like it would take more time then available. Samba was
suggested to me as a possible solution, but I would prefer
stick to a Windows only solution for this project if
possible. Any ideas?
