Is it a bad practice to have servers as DHCP clients...even if their IP
address is reserved?

What happens if the DHCP Server goes down right before the Server's Lease
expires?

Ans: Lease cannot be renewed

What happens if the DHCP Server goes down and the Servers were Statically
assigned?

Ans: Nothing


Servers should not ever be dependent on a DHCP Server for thier "survival",
reserved or not reserved is irrelevant.
