Looking for Aureal 8830 drivers...again :(

Hi all,
Not one driver available on any site for my Aureal 8830 vortex2 sound
card is working for either of XP/2003. Any pointers to FULLY WORKIGN
DRIVERS for the same would be highly appreciated.

HI, some Dell Dimention shipped with an Aureal Vortex card. Check
support.dell.com. You will probably have to hunt and peck among
different models. Since Aureal got bought by Creative years ago,
updated drivers are iffy.

PS: Try windows update, you can get lucky.

Could you tell which dimension model specifically was shipped with
Aureal Card? There are more than 50-60 in the list, which i cant
obviously scan one by one for the driver..

Here's what dell has to say about it. (Turtle beach is the same card)

This driver is intended for use ONLY on the Turtle Beach Montego-II
sound
card in Windows 95/98 or Windows NT. Use of these drivers on any other
sound card or operating system may cause undesirable results.
The Dell P/N of the TBM-II card is: 5931D



*** IMPORTANT ***
These drivers are NOT compatible with Windows Millennium, 2000, or XP.
There is NO known source of drivers for this sound card if you have one
of these operating systems.
However, each of these operating systems has limited "native" support
for
the A3D chipset and will provide system sound, but the Turtle Beach
sound
rack application will not function.

I thought this card worked with XP with the drivers included. I know
there were no updates to the drivers after XP was released but I had one
of those cards working with XP Gold. There is at least one for sale on
E-Bay that also states that it is working under XP.
