looking for ASUS mb that will take XP2400+

Hi all,

I would like to get an ASUS motherboard that will take
an AMD XP2400+ running at 2GHz with 266fsb or 333fsb
that is stone reliable. If it has onboard video and sound that
would be a plus. Any ideas?

I am sitting right now at a system with a
266 MHz fsb XP2400+ on an Asus A7N266-VM
motherboard.

NForce chipset with integrated sound, video,
and LAN.

Elsewhere I use a 333 MHz fsb XP2800+ on
an A7N8X-VM. NForce2 chipset with integrated
s,v,& l.

Both systems are rock-steady with Linux,
NT, W2K, and XP. Drivers are readily
available through the nVidia site.

I have also built about 80 systems around
those two motherboards for other people and
the hardware has been trouble-free.

The video on both motherboards is adequate for
non-gamers, but people who play 3D games
would definitely want a video card to stick
in the AGP slot.
